Energy Investment Systems Filed A Petition To Waive 10-Kw Cogeneration
Energy Investment Systems stated that providing 301 West 45th Street with an exemption from the 10-kW cap in VDER would represent a significant step towards the encouragement of efficient energy generation and reduced emissions. Additionally, these actions would help strengthen the grid when strained and during demand reduction periods of the VDER value stack.
As background, in its order authorizing the commencement of Community DG programs, the NYPSC directed Staff to initiate a matter to establish valuation methods for Distributed Energy Resources (DER) (that a matter be initiated to establish a methodology for valuing DER and designing rates for DER providers).
