EOE Requests Approval Of Settlement Agreement With Major Energy

Office of Education, Outreach and Enforcement has requested approval from PURA of the Settlement Agreement with Major Energy Electric Services, LLC.  Under the settlement, Major Energy will pay $2 million in three installments to the electric distribution companies indicated as a donation to reduce hardship customer arrearages.

Immediately following PURA approval, Major Energy agrees to permanently cease doing business with Utiliz in Connecticut.  Major Energy will confirm this with a compliance filing within seven (7) business days after PURA approves the settlement.  

Immediately following PURA approval, Major Energy agrees to ensure that for as long as the 144 customers enrolled by Utiliz in October 2023, as they were defined in the NOV, continue to be served by Major Energy and they will not pay more than the applicable Standard Service Rate.
