Governor Announces Decobonization Initiative

Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey announced a new initiative to support state solar and decarbonization projects, saying the “funding will help our public colleges and agencies cut their long-term energy costs.” The funds will be distributed through three grants under DOER’s Leading By Example initiative and include a $25 million Solar-Decarbonization program, a $20 million Decarbonization Implementation program, and a $5 million Solar & Decarbonized System Restoration program.
