ICC Initiates Show Cause Order Against Messer Energy Services for Failure to File Reporting Requirements

In the Initiating Order the Illinois Commerce Commission adopts Staff’s recommendation against Messer Energy Services, Inc. for failure to comply with annual and quarterly filing requirements as outlined in in in Attachment A, Exhibit 5, appended to the Staff Report , provides a sufficient basis to initiate such a proceeding.
Staff recommends the Commission impose a total penalty of $55,000.
Staff’s recommended penalty comprises penalties of the following amounts for failure to file:
- its REPS Report due on September 1, 2022, on September 1, 2023, and on September 1, 2024, $7,500 for each year;
- its Call Center Information Report due on March 1, 2022, on March 1, 2023, and on March 1, 2024, $7,500 for each year;
- its Net Metering Report due on April 1, 2022, on April 1, 2023, and on April 1, 2024, $2,500 for each year; and
- its Designated Agent Form due on January 31, 2024, $2,500 for each year.
