MD – Baltimore Gas And Electric – Billing Error For Accounts With Credit – Update
Good afternoon,
We are writing to inform the supplier community that the system issue causing supplier credits to be processed as charges has been resolved and all impacted accounts have been cancelled and rebilled. Supplier credits are now being processed correctly. Fortunately, there was a very limited number off account impacted and the inadvertent charge was quickly removed.
We are planning to reach out to customers who received an incorrect bill to explain the error soon. We will also be contacting individual suppliers with a list of their impacted customers for awareness.

We are writing to inform the supplier community that we discovered a system issue impacting supplier credits received on and after 9/5/2025. Our billing system is inadvertently processing credits as charges causing customers to receive incorrect bills.
While we work to resolve this issue, we are asking that suppliers refrain from sending credits (negative charges) until the issue is resolved. We understand the significance of such request and appreciate your support with this matter.
Once resolved, we will notify the supplier community and cancel rebill impacted accounts.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.
