National Grid’s POR Rates Approved

On April 30, 2025 the Massachusetts DPU issued a final order approving National Grid’s POR discount rates.

National Grid filed its annual Purchase of Receivables (POR) discount rate calculations also referred to in Massachusetts as Standard Complete Billing Percentage (SCBP). The proposed SCBP rates effective May 1, 2026 are:

  • Residential: 2.56%, down from the current 2.68%;
  • Commercial: (0.12)%, down from the current 3.69%;
  • Industrial: 1.30%, up from the current 1.02%.
