NSTAR Files Lower Default Service Rates
NSTAR Electric Company d/b/a Eversource Energy filed with the Massachusetts DPU new basic service electricity rates for its Western Massachusetts service territory (WMA), formerly WMECO, for the period beginning August 1, 2024.
All prices below include the currently effective Basic Service Adders, Renewable Portfolio Standard, Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard, Clean Energy Standard, and Clean Peak Standard Adders.
The filed new WMECO fixed residential basic service rate for the period August 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025, using currently effective adders, is 14.023¢/kWh, which is about 12% lower than the current rate of 15.810¢/kWh.
The filed new WMECO fixed small C&I basic service rate for the period August 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025, using currently effective adders, is 13.982¢/kWh, which is about 14% lower than the current rate of 16.179¢/kWh.
