NYPSC Issues Notice On A Technical Conference And Requested Comments & CHG&E Files Its Long-Term Gas Plan
Re: Review of the long-term gas system plans of Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corporation (CHG&E).
Next Steps in this Matter:
- A conference will be held 3/6/24 from 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. ET to incorporate stakeholder input on the long-term plan.
- Interested parties must submit initial comments on Central Hudson’s long-term plan by 4/29/24.
- Reply comments must be submitted by 5/15/24.
As previously reported, on February 7, 2024, the NYPSC issued a notice on a technical conference and requested comments Notice & Request for Comments.
Also, CHG&E filed its long-term gas plan. As noted in this report, Central Hudson has adopted decarbonization as a central objective with a focus on energy transition. Additionally, Central Hudson supported numerous clean energy programs and advancements pertaining to its gas system operation plan. These system advancements included methane reduction, selection of supply resources, electrification of water heating, and the electrification of C&I end uses.
