SB 1/Residential retail choice convening group members:

The Relief Act, passed in the 2026 legislative session, changed the price cap for residential electric retail choice in PUA 7-510(d)(2) from a trailing 12 month average to current SOS rates. Staff will host a residential retail choice convening on this issue to discuss the needed changes to utility PC 64 price-cap reporting on Tuesday May 12th, from 1 to 3 pm EST.

Staff asks that utilities come prepared to discuss changing their residential electric PC 64 price-cap reporting and the earliest this reporting can be conducted for current residential SOS rates, as shown on customer bills (including any cost true-up mechanism).
