PA PUC Holds Tech Conference & Seeks Comment On Resource Adequacy

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) held a technical conference on November 25 on the topic of resource adequacy.  As recently reported all states in PJM’s footprint have raised grave concerns about capacity prices, resource adequacy and the likelihood for significant increases in retail electricity prices.  The Commission extends date for interested parties to file comments that are now due by January 9, 2025.

{***} The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (Commission) held a Technical Conference regarding resource adequacy on Monday, November 25, 2024. A Secretarial Letter was issued on November 15, 2024, establishing a comment period and setting the deadline of December 27, 2024. The Commission acknowledges the importance of this topic and the challenges associated with the upcoming holidays, and thus will be extending the deadline to submit comments to January 9, 2025. {***}
