PA PUC Issues Order Approving PECO’s Choice ID Tariff For All Supplier Enrollments, Drops, And Historical Usage Requests
The approved tariff changes reflect the elimination of billing on supplier switch, changes the use of the customer’s account number with a new electric choice ID, and removes of the application of late fees to unpaid balances on final bills.
PECO filed supp No. 36, effective 1/16/24, proposing tariff changes in alignment with its plan to update current customer information management system (“CIMS”) to a new customer information system, Oracle’s customer care and billing (“CC&B”).
C&B implementation will replace each PECO retail customer’s existing account number with a new ‘Electric Choice ID. Electric suppliers will use this unique Choice ID for all supplier enrollments, drops, and historical usage requests. PECO will modify its Eligible Customer List by replacing customers’ account numbers with Choice ID numbers. (Customers receiving both electric and gas distribution service from PECO will have two unique Choice IDs, one for electric and another for gas).
