PSC Approves BGE’s SOS Procurement
On June 4, 2026 the Maryland PSC issued an order approving BGE’s SOS procurement.
Previously on May 27, 2026 the Maryland PSC issued a notice of the SOS hearing noting that the “Bid Monitor consultant and the Commission’s Technical Staff to brief the Commission on the conduct of the June 1, 2026 solicitations for offers for contracts for a portion of the residential customer loads” by the investor-owned utilities (IOUs) “and the Type I loads for BGE, DPL, and Pepco, and the results, in conjunction with the hearing for review of the IOU’s Type II SOS procurement results.”
On May 18, 2026, BGE filed revised tariff pages proposing “an update to its residential Type I and Type II standard offer generation market-priced service rates, administrative charges and retail transmission rates under Rider 1.”
Previously the Commission had accepted the tariff revisions from Potomac Edison, BGE, Pepco, and DP&L.
