PUCT Complaint Statistics

For the month of September 2025, complaint staff from the PUCT received a total of 997 complaints. The total volume of complaints decreased slightly from the August numbers. The number of electric complaints received in September was similar to the number received in August.

REP complaints comprise 60% of the total volume of complaints related to electric service. The five REPs receiving the most complaints in August accounted for approximately 47% of all the REP complaints. The first chart below shows five REPs receiving the most complaints and the types of complaints each company received. To obtain company-specific information, please contact us.

Also, during September, the PUCT staff closed 698 complaints related to electric service. Of that number, over 99% were investigated by the PUCT staff. Of the electric violations, only three were for late filed responses.
