Notice Of Public Comment Issued in Columbia Gas to Adopt New Infrastructure Replacement and Improvement Plan and Surcharge Mechanism
From the Maryland PSC’s Notice:
On July 30, 2024, Columbia Gas of Maryland Inc. (“Columbia” or “the Company”) filed an application for authority from the Public Service Commission of Maryland (“the Commission”) to implement a Strategic Infrastructure Development and Enhancement Plan (“STRIDE 3 Plan”) and an associated cost recovery mechanism (“IRIS”) (collectively “the Application”).1 Columbia requested Commission approval of a STRIDE Plan for 2025-2029 to invest in eligible gas system infrastructure replacements with an estimated cost of approximately $17 million annually to be collected over a five-year period beginning January 1, 2025.
Evening hearings for the purpose of receiving comments in connection with the Application are hereby scheduled as follows:

Members of the public may attend these public hearings in person to provide comments about the Company’s Application. If any member of the public is unable to attend in person and would like to participate virtually, they should send an email to psc.pulj@gmail.com by 12:00 Noon on October 15, 2024. The email must include a reference to Case No. 9751. Otherwise, recordings of the hearings will be available on the Public Utility Law Judge (PULJ) Division’s YouTube Channel.
