PURA Issues Notice Of Decision In Regulations For Gas Pipeline Safety

[ *** ] The Authority held a public hearing on October 11, 2023, and accepted written comments through October 20, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., to solicit public input regarding the proposed regulation. PURA received three written comments. The comments received are available for public inspection in Docket No. 23-07-21 through PURA’s website and are being posted contemporaneously with this notice on the eRegulations System maintained by the Secretary of the State. PURA initially submitted the proposed regulations on January 3, 2024. PURA withdrew the proposed regulations on January 26, 2024, and files herewith updated proposed regulations.
As required by Conn. Gen. Stat. § 4-168(e), the following items are available for viewing: (A) The final wording of the proposed regulation; (B) A statement of the principal reasons in support of this intended action; (C) A statement of the principal considerations in opposition to this intended action; and (D) A statement of the reasons for accepting or rejecting such considerations.
Copies of items (A) through (D) above are available for public inspection in Docket No. 23-07-21 through PURA’s website and through the eRegulations System maintained by the Secretary of the State. Please note that items (B) through (D) are consolidated in the Public Comment and Response Report dated March 18, 2024.
