Staff Directed To Issue RFPs To Conduct FirstEnergy RPS Audits
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) issued an RFP for audit services to review the accounting, accuracy, prudency, and compliance of FirstEnergy Ohio with its Commission-approved Rider AER with regards to the AER costs and compliance with the renewable portfolio standard (RPS). Proposals are to be submitted to the Commission by the established deadline of April 3, 2024.
The Commission directs Staff to issue the request for proposal for audit services to assist the Commission with its review of the alternative energy resource rider of the FirstEnergy Companies.
