Commission Approves Settlement Between Staff And REP
Excerpts from the Public Utilities Commission of Texas (PUCT) Order:
{***} “This Order addresses the agreement between Commission Staff and Good Charlie & Co., LLC regarding Commission Staff s investigation of Good Charlie for violations of 16 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) § 25.107(f) related to financial requirements for retail electric providers (REPs). The agreement also serves as a report to the Commission under 16 TAC § 22.246(h)(1). Commission Staff recommends, and Good Charlie agrees to pay, an administrative penalty of $13,000 and maintain at least one million dollars in shareholders’ equity until May 31, 2025. The Commission approves the agreed administrative penalty to the extent provided in this Order.

12. Good Charlie cooperated with Commission Staffs investigation.
- Good Charlie acknowledges the bases for the violations detailed in this Order.
- On December 2,2024, Commission Staff and Good Charlie entered into an agreement to resolve the violations described in this Order, in which the parties agreed that Good Charlie would take the following actions: a. Good Charlie will pay an administrative penalty of $13,000; and b. Good Charlie will maintain one million dollars in shareholders’ equity until May 31,2025.
- On December 2,2024, Commission Staff filed a copy of the executed agreement with the Commission’s filing clerk.” {***}
