TPUC Staff File Proposed CenterPoint TEEEF Memo
Re: Application of CenterPoint Energy to amend its temporary emergency electric energy facilities rider, related to cost recovery of mobile generation units owned and operated by the utility to provide emergency generation on a temporary basis.
Staff filed a proposed order (PO).
Of note, the PO approves the 11/1/23 settlement agreement, including: (1) that CenterPoint will “implement final TEEEF rates using an annual TEEEF revenue requirement of $153,203,047,” representing “a reduction of $34,672,354 to CenterPoint Houston’s requested annual TEEEF revenue requirement”; and (2) “CenterPoint Houston’ s alternative proposal to exclude qualifying low-income residential customers from paying the TEEEF Rider will not be approved in this case.”
