Notice Type: Tariff Notification – AEP Texas Inc. Transmission Cost Recovery Factor (TCRF) with rates effective September 1, 2025.
Short Description: On May 23, 2025, AEP Texas Inc. filed a petition to update its TCRF in PUCT Docket No. 58157. AEP Texas’s final rates were approved by the Commission with issuance of a notice of approval on July 7, 2025, approving the updated TCRF rates. The updated combined AEP Texas TCRF is effective for bills rendered on and after September 1, 2025.

Long Description: AEP Texas Inc. filed for approval of an update to its Transmission Cost Recovery Factor (TCRF) on May 23, 2025, in PUCT Docket No. 58157. Commission Staff has reviewed AEP Texas’s petition and confirmed that the calculations reflected in the attachments and work papers are accurate and consistent with the Commission’s substantive rules. Commission Staff filed their Final Recommendation on June 27, 2025, recommending approval of the Rider TCRF. AEP Texas’s final rates were approved by the Commission with issuance of a notice of approval on July 7, 2025. The updated TCRF for AEP Texas Inc. is effective for bills rendered on and after September 1, 2025.
The TCRF allows a distribution service provider (DSP) to update its TCRF twice per year to pass through the wholesale transmission cost changes billed by a transmission service provider (TSP).
Additional Information: Effective date of the updated TCRF Rider is September 1, 2025. Attached is the updated rider TCRF.
