Uncontracted Capacity Reallocation Process for the 2026-27 Program Year Detailed Memo Published

On June 10, 2026 the Illinois Shines features annual block of capacity that remain open until block capacity is exhausted for the Program Year, and unused or uncontracted capacity is redistributed after the close of a Program Year.

As previously announced, the Program paused from May 26, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CPT through June 1, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. CPT, to undertake data and reporting updates to reallocate all unused Program capacity, that resulted in a total of 308.01 MW.

On May 28, 2026, the Program published the results of the reallocation, including outlining the steps the Agency took to reallocate remaining capacity from the 2025-26 Program Year for use in the 2026-27 Program Year, and today published a detailed memo on the process.
