Utility Files Petition to Automatically Enroll LIHEAP Recipients

On April 9, 2026, Duquesne filed a petition for approval to automatically enroll eligible LIHEAP recipients in its customer assistance program based on income received within the past 12 months.

Per the filed petition enrollments will occur in two phases. The petition indicates that Duquesne will initially manually enroll eligible accounts within 30 days of receiving the shared data from DHS and 180 days following approval of the petition, Duquesne will transition to a fully automated process.
