Washington Gas Light Files Status Report On Purchase Of Receivables

[ *** ] Following the issuance of the Commission’s Order No. 91303 that eliminates residential POR, Washington Gas met with Staff, OPC, other utilities and competitive service providers to begin the discussion of what changes need to be made to comply with the Commission’s Order. Washington Gas proposes that no system changes can be made until decisions have been made— and approved by the Commission—on how to proceed. We do not believe it is possible for this to happen prior to January 1, 2025. It is important to note that any system changes require significant work and testing prior to going live. [ *** ]
The residential POR discount that is proposed in the report is 12.2%, which would be in place from September 2024 through December 2024. The current residential POR discount is 3.2418%.
