Gas Supplier Seeks To Dismiss Residential Customer’s Formal Complaint

AEP Energy filed a motion to dismiss issues raised in James Chambers’s customer complaint matter since issues have been resolved.

As background, a residential natural gas consumer has brought a formal complaint against AEP Energy.  In the formal complaint the customer alleges that the contract he entered into with AEP Energy was fundamentally unfair since he did not have negotiating power and his rate is not impacted by changes in commodity prices, meaning that the supplier benefits from stability while the customer bears the risk of market fluctuations.
