PUCO Suspends Automatic Approval Of AES’ Proposal To Move Price To Compare Message To First Page Of Bill
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) issues an order suspending the automatic approval process for proposed changes to bills issued by AES Ohio (Dayton Power and Light).
As previously reported AES proposed changes to its bills including a proposal to move the language concerning the price to compare from the second page to the first page of the bill for several types of customers, including for non-residential customers currently taking supply from a competitive retail supplier.
From the ALJ Order:
“Ohio Adm.Code 4901:1-10-22(D) requires any electric utility proposing a new bill format to file its proposed bill format with the Commission for approval. If the Commission does not act upon the application within 45 days, the proposed bill format is deemed automatically approved on the 46th day.”
The AL’s entry suspends the automatic approval, citing, “the need for additional information and time for the Commission and its Staff to thoroughly review AES Ohio’s application.” The ALJ further noted that AES Ohio had requested an implementation date beyond.”
