PA PUC Proposes To Revoke Licenses Of Two EGS’ For Failure To Submit Financial Security Instruments
The Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission (PUC) issued a tentative order proposing to revoke the licenses of two electric brokers for alleged failure to file proof of security as required by the PUC.
The two brokers identified in the tentative order are America Approved Commercial, LLC and Integrity Communications of Ohio, LLC.
Note that inclusion in the tentative order does not necessarily mean that an electric generation supplier (EGS, a term which includes brokers) does not have the required security, but rather that the PUC alleges that the EGS has not demonstrated compliance in the specific manner required by the PUC.
The alleged compliance deficiencies in the tentative order are as of April 30, 2024, and therefore may not reflect updated information provided by the brokers past that date.
Entities may challenge the draft findings of the electric tentative order, or otherwise come into compliance by a deadline established in the tentative order, to avoid license revocation. More specifically, to the extent any of the Electric Generation Suppliers listed in the Supplier Table in the tentative order may challenge the cancellation of their license, they must file comments within thirty (30) days after publication of this Tentative Order in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
