Notice Of Technical Conference And Request For Comments Filed For Interconnection Workgroup And Implementation of FERC Order No. 2222 And Retail Grid Services

From the Maryland Public Service Commission notice regarding interconnection workgroup technical conferernce: 

[ *** ] On April 11, 2025, the Commission requested several reports to be filed within six months of the issuance of Order No. 91603 to start the information technology system and process planning and for all stakeholders to help develop a regulatory framework to implement FERC Order No. 2222 to speed the deployment of cost-effective virtual power plants that will benefit ratepayers. The Commission also stated in this Order that it will convene a future Technical Conference in 2025 in this matter after the receipt of various directed conceptual reports, while also providing stakeholders a notice for an opportunity to comment on those reports. [ *** ] 

The Commission invites interested stakeholders to file comments on these reports by Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Comments should be addressed to Andrew S. Johnston, Executive Secretary, Maryland Public Service Commission, William Donald Schaefer Tower, 6 St. Paul Street, 16th Floor, Baltimore, Maryland 21202, and reference “Case No. 9778” in the subject line.

The Commission further gives notice that it will hold a Technical Conference to consider stakeholder comments on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, beginning 10 minutes after the conclusion of the Administrative Meeting, which begins at 10:00 a.m., in the Frank O. Heintz Hearing Room, 16th Floor, William Donald Schaefer Tower, 6 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, MD 21202. Persons interested in participating in this conference are requested to notify Annika Barth (annika.barth@maryland.gov) by December 1, 2025.
